Hawk-L2e (U15 + e-compass)
The Hawk-L2e is a high-performance, dual-frequency GNSS receiver module specifically engineered for Pixhawk (PX4)-based UAV platforms and next-generation autonomous systems. By integrating LOCOSYS’s cutting-edge LV-1612-U15 technology with specialized drone hardware, the Hawk-L2e delivers sub-meter positioning accuracy and industrial-grade reliability, providing a stable and efficient solution for emerging intelligent navigation systems.
At its core, the Hawk-L2e features an advanced Cortex-M4F processing core operating at 350 MHz, fabricated in 22-nm technology. This powerful architecture enables the module to simultaneously receive and track signals from all major global navigation satellite systems, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, and SBAS. By combining multi-constellation tracking with L1 and L5 dual-frequency signal processing, it achieves outstanding cold-start sensitivity and a significantly reduced Time-to-First-Fix (TTFF), ensuring rapid and reliable position fixes even in weak-signal or partially obstructed environments.
Designed specifically for the rigorous demands of aerial applications, the Hawk-L2e incorporates a lightweight helical antenna. This specialized design not only enhances GNSS positioning stability and signal robustness in electromagnetically challenging conditions but also minimizes weight to effectively extend drone flight time. With its superior sensitivity and low power consumption, the module achieves sub-meter-level positioning accuracy without the need for ground-based augmentation, making it an ideal choice for high-precision UAV missions.
Safety and system resilience are further bolstered by integrated Anti-jamming and Anti-spoofing capabilities. The Hawk-L2e provides real-time satellite signal quality indicators and interference monitoring within its NMEA output, allowing host systems to detect external threats and trigger safety control mechanisms. This robustness is essential for critical applications such as aerial inspection, swarm flight control, and smart logistics, where operational stability is paramount.
To streamline development and ensure long-term reliability, the Hawk-L2e is a fully optimized, plug-and-play solution that eliminates the need for complex RF design or GNSS signal tuning. Engineering teams can significantly reduce hardware complexity and shorten time-to-market while benefiting from LOCOSYS’s IATF 16949 automotive-grade manufacturing standards. This commitment to quality ensures that the Hawk-L2e delivers consistent performance and durability for the most demanding industrial and autonomous navigation markets.
