LV-1612-U15 ( L1+L5+UAV )
LV-1612-U15
LOCOSYS has introduced the LV-1612-U15, a high-performance L1 + L5 dual-band, multi-constellation GNSS receiver module engineered for applications requiring robust navigation performance and precise positioning. The module simultaneously receives and tracks signals from all major global navigation satellite systems, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS and SBAS. By combining multi-constellation tracking with dual-frequency signal processing, the LV-1612-U15 significantly improves positioning accuracy, satellite availability and signal robustness. This architecture enables reliable navigation performance across a wide range of operating environments, including dense urban areas, open skies and electromagnetically challenging conditions. Leveraging advanced satellite signal processing algorithms and multi-frequency positioning techniques, the module delivers enhanced solution stability and improved navigation accuracy under diverse satellite visibility scenarios, making it well suited for next-generation high-precision GNSS applications. At the core of the LV-1612-U15 is a highly integrated GNSS receiver chipset and positioning engine built on an advanced RF and baseband integration architecture. The module incorporates a Cortex-M4F processing core operating at 350 MHz, fabricated in 22-nm technology and housed in a compact 4 × 4 mm package, enabling high computational performance while maintaining excellent power efficiency. Through advanced signal search strategies and intelligent positioning algorithms, the receiver can evaluate tens of millions of time-frequency hypotheses per second, substantially improving signal acquisition capability and reducing time-to-first-fix (TTFF). Its outstanding cold-start sensitivity and tracking performance allow the receiver to rapidly obtain and maintain position fixes even under weak-signal or partially obstructed environments. In addition, the multi-frequency architecture enables sub-meter-level positioning accuracy without reliance on ground-based augmentation systems, further enhancing solution reliability. As a highly integrated GNSS module, the LV-1612-U15 is designed to streamline system development and lower the barrier to integrating high-performance satellite positioning capabilities. RF circuitry, baseband processing, filtering, amplification stages, positioning algorithms and system interfaces are fully optimized and pre-integrated within the module. This eliminates the need for complex RF design and GNSS signal tuning at the system level, allowing developers to rapidly incorporate reliable positioning functionality into their products. By adopting the LV-1612-U15 module, engineering teams can significantly reduce hardware design complexity, shorten RF calibration cycles, simplify system integration and mitigate development risks, while accelerating product development timelines and reducing overall time-to-market. These characteristics make the module particularly attractive for applications requiring rapid product deployment and high operational stability. For UAV and high-reliability navigation applications, the LV-1612-U15 further incorporates enhanced anti-jamming and anti-spoofing capabilities. The module provides satellite signal quality indicators and interference monitoring information within its output messages, enabling host systems to determine whether positioning degradation or loss of lock is caused by external signal interference or spoofing attempts. This capability allows system designers to implement real-time mitigation strategies, such as switching to alternative navigation modes or triggering safety control mechanisms. As a result, overall system resilience and operational safety can be significantly improved. With its combination of high-precision positioning performance, strong interference resilience and simplified integration, the LV-1612-U15 is particularly well suited for UAV navigation, aerial inspection, aerial imaging, swarm flight control, smart logistics and a wide range of IoT-based tracking and positioning devices, providing a stable and efficient GNSS solution for emerging autonomous and intelligent navigation systems. To ensure long-term product reliability and consistent manufacturing quality, LOCOSYS operates under the internationally recognized automotive quality management standard IATF 16949 for product design, manufacturing and quality assurance processes. Originating from the stringent requirements of the automotive electronics industry, this quality framework encompasses comprehensive design verification, supply chain management, manufacturing process control and continuous improvement practices. By adhering to the IATF 16949 quality management system, LOCOSYS ensures that each product meets rigorous standards for performance, stability and traceability. This commitment to quality provides customers with a reliable and durable GNSS solution while reinforcing the LV-1612-U15’s competitiveness in industrial, UAV and other high-reliability navigation markets.
