LOCOSYS has introduced the LV-1612-U1, a high-performance L1 band, multi-constellation GNSS receiver module engineered for applications that demand robust navigation performance and precise positioning. The module simultaneously receives and tracks signals from all major global navigation satellite systems, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS and SBAS. By leveraging multi-constellation tracking, the LV-1612-U1 significantly enhances positioning accuracy, satellite availability and signal robustness. This architecture enables reliable navigation performance across a wide range of operating environments. Through advanced satellite signal processing algorithms, the module delivers improved solution stability and higher navigation accuracy under varying satellite visibility conditions, making it well suited for next-generation high-precision GNSS applications.
At the core of the LV-1612-U1 is a highly integrated GNSS receiver chipset and positioning engine, built on an advanced RF and baseband integration architecture. The module incorporates a Cortex-M4F processing core operating at 350 MHz, fabricated using 22-nm technology and housed in a compact 4 × 4 mm package. This design enables high computational performance while maintaining excellent power efficiency. With advanced signal search strategies and intelligent positioning algorithms, the receiver can evaluate tens of millions of time-frequency hypotheses per second, significantly improving signal acquisition capability and reducing time-to-first-fix (TTFF). Its excellent cold-start sensitivity and tracking performance allow the receiver to rapidly obtain and maintain position fixes, even in weak-signal or partially obstructed environments.
For UAV and high-reliability navigation applications, the LV-1612-U1 also incorporates enhanced anti-jamming and anti-spoofing capabilities. The module provides satellite signal quality indicators and interference monitoring data within its output messages, allowing host systems to determine whether positioning degradation or loss of lock is caused by external interference or spoofing attempts. This enables system designers to implement real-time mitigation strategies, such as switching to alternative navigation modes or triggering safety control mechanisms. As a result, overall system resilience and operational safety are significantly improved. With its combination of high-precision positioning, strong interference resilience and simplified integration, the LV-1612-U1 is particularly well suited for UAV navigation, aerial inspection, aerial imaging, swarm flight control, smart logistics and a wide range of IoT-based tracking and positioning devices, providing a stable and efficient GNSS solution for emerging autonomous and intelligent navigation systems.
