These GPS smart antenna modules feature a built-in 12 multi-tone active interference canceller, indoor and outdoor multi-path detection and compensation, and support for SBAS systems (WAAS, EGNOS, MSAS, GAGAN) to ensure reliable positioning accuracy. With fast time-to-first-fix at low signal levels, one-second navigation updates (up to 10 Hz), and low power consumption ranging from 21mA to 37mA depending on interface type, the LS2003xU-2RE series offers three variants: USB (LS20030U-2RE), TTL (LS20031U-2RE), and RS232 (LS20032U-2RE) interfaces. The compact 30 x 30 x 8mm design with 25 x 25 x 4mm antenna, wide operating temperature range (-40°C to 85°C), built-in micro battery for rapid satellite acquisition, and ±11ns high accuracy time pulse (PPS) make these modules ideal for demanding automotive, handheld, and marine positioning applications.

LS2003xU-2RE series products are complete GPS smart antenna receivers, including an embedded antenna and GPS receiver circuits, designed for a broad spectrum of OEM system applications. The product is based on the proven technology found in LOCOSYS 66 channel GPS SMD type receiver MC-1612-2RE that uses MediaTek chip solution. The GPS smart antenna will acquire up to 66 satellites at a time while providing fast time-to-first-fix, one-second navigation update and low power consumption. It can provide you with superior sensitivity and performance even in urban canyon and dense foliage environment. Its far-reaching capability meets the sensitivity requirements of car navigation as well as other location based applications.

The GPS smart antenna supports self-generate orbit prediction, EASYTM, to achieve faster cold start and warm start. The EASYTM is no need of both network assistance and host CPU’s intervention. The predication is valid for up to 3 days and updates automatically from time to time when GPS module is powered on and satellites are available.
