How Can You Reduce Power Consumption in Next-Generation Automotive Navigation Systems?

The MC-1513-G delivers industry-leading 16mA power consumption with built-in DC/DC converter, reducing battery drain by up to 40% compared to conventional modules. Its 15x13mm SMD form factor with stamp holes enables seamless integration into dashboard displays and aftermarket devices. With MediaTek MT3333 chipset supporting GPS+GLONASS+GALILEO+QZSS simultaneously, your automotive systems gain faster satellite acquisition and superior urban canyon performance—critical for modern vehicle navigation. Contact us to receive integration samples and technical documentation tailored to your automotive platform requirements.

Engineered for rapid deployment, the MC-1513-G incorporates hybrid ephemeris prediction technology including self-generated EASY (valid for 3 days) and server-generated EPO (valid for 14 days) to achieve cold start times under 15 seconds without network assistance. The built-in DC/DC converter maximizes power efficiency while the integrated data logger enables autonomous operation. With up to 10Hz update rate, ±11ns high-accuracy time pulse (1PPS), and indoor/outdoor multi-path detection and compensation, this RoHS-compliant module delivers reliable positioning for personal navigation, automotive aftermarket solutions, and marine applications operating across -40°C to 85°C temperature ranges.

MC-1513-G

MC-1513-G

LOCOSYS MC-1513-G is based on MediaTek advanced new generation MT3333 GNSS chip. It is a complete standalone GNSS module which can simultaneously acquire and track multiple satellite constellations that include GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, QZSS and SBAS.
It features low power and small form factor. Besides, it can provide you with superior sensitivity and
performance even in urban canyon and dense foliage environment.
This module supports hybrid ephemeris prediction to achieve faster cold start. One is self-generated ephemeris prediction (called EASY) that is no need of both network assistance and host CPU’s intervention.
This is valid for up to 3 days and updates automatically from time to time when GNSS module is powered on and satellites are available. The other is server-generated ephemeris prediction (called EPO) that gets from an internet server. This is valid for up to 14 days. Both ephemeris predictions are stored in the on-board flash memory and perform a cold start time less than 15 seconds.
