How Can We Minimize GPS Module Size and Weight Without Sacrificing Positioning Performance in UAV Designs?

The MC-1010-2RE delivers exceptional positioning accuracy in just 10.1x9.7x2mm footprint with only 17mA power draw—perfect for extending flight time while maintaining reliable GPS tracking. With 66-channel tracking, EASY™ fast acquisition, and 10Hz update rate, your drones achieve rapid satellite lock and smooth navigation even in challenging environments. Contact us to receive integration specifications and sample modules for your next-generation UAV platform.

The MC-1010-2RE incorporates MediaTek's innovative EASY™ self-generate orbit prediction technology, which accelerates cold start and warm start times without requiring network assistance or host CPU intervention. The prediction remains valid for up to 3 days and updates automatically when satellites are available. With up to 10 Hz update rate capability and ±11ns high-accuracy time pulse (1PPS) output synchronized with NMEA data, this module meets demanding timing requirements for precision applications. Supporting SBAS for enhanced accuracy and featuring indoor/outdoor multi-path detection and compensation, the MC-1010-2RE is RoHS compliant with SMD mounting and stamp holes. Operating reliably across -40°C to 85°C temperature range with 3.0V-4.3V input voltage and direct lithium battery connection capability, this module is the perfect solution for personal positioning, automotive navigation, marine navigation, handheld devices, drones, and aftermarket applications.
