LV-1612-IR ( IRNSS Only )
LV-1612-IR
LOCOSYS LV-1612-IR is a high-performance IRNSS (NavIC) L5-band GNSS module designed for applications requiring reliable regional positioning and robust signal performance. Supporting India’s regional navigation satellite system (IRNSS), the module leverages the L5 signal structure to provide enhanced resistance to interference, improved multipath mitigation and stable measurement quality, making it well suited for operation in challenging signal environments.
Optimized for IRNSS-only operation, the LV-1612-IR delivers consistent and dependable positioning performance within its service coverage area. With its robust signal characteristics and strong tracking stability, the module is particularly suitable for applications that prioritize signal integrity and regional navigation reliability. The LV-1612-IR offers a focused and efficient solution for applications deployed in IRNSS-covered regions, including transportation, infrastructure monitoring and IoT-based tracking systems.
At the core of the LV-1612-IR is a highly integrated GNSS receiver chipset and positioning engine built on an advanced RF and baseband integration architecture. The module incorporates a Cortex-M4F processing core operating at 350 MHz, fabricated in 22-nm technology and housed in a compact 4 × 4 mm package, enabling high computational performance while maintaining excellent power efficiency. Through advanced signal search strategies and intelligent positioning algorithms, the receiver can evaluate tens of millions of time-frequency hypotheses per second, improving signal acquisition capability and ensuring stable tracking performance. Its strong cold-start sensitivity enables reliable position fixes even under weak-signal or partially obstructed environments within the IRNSS coverage region.
As a highly integrated GNSS module, the LV-1612-IR is designed to streamline system development and reduce integration complexity. RF circuitry, baseband processing, filtering, amplification stages, positioning algorithms and system interfaces are fully optimized and pre-integrated within the module. This eliminates the need for complex RF design and GNSS signal tuning, allowing developers to quickly integrate reliable positioning functionality into their products. By adopting the LV-1612-IR module, engineering teams can reduce hardware design complexity, shorten RF calibration cycles and accelerate product development timelines, making it ideal for rapid deployment and high-reliability applications.
To ensure long-term product reliability and consistent manufacturing quality, LOCOSYS operates under the internationally recognized automotive quality management standard IATF 16949 across product design, manufacturing and quality assurance processes. This framework encompasses comprehensive design verification, supply chain management, manufacturing process control and continuous improvement practices. By adhering to IATF 16949 standards, LOCOSYS ensures that each product meets rigorous requirements for performance, stability and traceability, providing customers with a reliable and durable GNSS solution for regional navigation applications.
