LOCOSYS Launches Next-Generation Dual-Band GNSS Module with AI-Enhanced
Anti-Interference Capabilities to Capture Global High-Precision Positioning Market

LOCOSYS Technology Inc., a leading provider of high-precision GNSS solutions, today announced the launch of its next-generation GNSS receiver module,LV-1612-U15, alongside the introduction of its RTK high-precision positioning module (Model: LVR-1612-U15). The new product lineup further expands LOCOSYS’ portfolio in high-accuracy positioning and reinforces its technological leadership in multi-frequency, multi-constellation GNSS applications.

The LV-1612-U15 features a dual-band L1 + L5 architecture with full multi-constellation support, enabling simultaneous reception of signals from GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, and SBAS. By combining multi-frequency processing with multi-constellation tracking, the module significantly enhances positioning accuracy, availability, and signal robustness. It delivers reliable navigation performance across challenging environments, including urban canyons, open-sky conditions, and interference-prone scenarios, making it ideal for UAVs, intelligent transportation systems, and IoT applications.

In terms of performance, the LV-1612-U15 is equipped with 200 tracking channels and a high-speed signal acquisition engine, achieving tracking sensitivity of up to –165 dBm. It supports a position update rate of up to 10 Hz (up to 20 Hz maximum). Powered by a 22 nm GNSS chipset with a 350 MHz Cortex-M4F processor, the module can evaluate tens of millions of time-frequency hypotheses per second, significantly improving signal acquisition and reducing time-to-first-fix (TTFF). With advanced multipath mitigation and multi-frequency positioning techniques, it delivers sub-meter accuracy without relying on ground-based augmentation systems.

Complementing the LV-1612-U15, the LVR-1612-U15 RTK module provides centimeter-level positioning accuracy, making it well suited for high-precision applications such as autonomous driving, surveying, precision agriculture, and advanced UAV operations.

From a hardware and integration perspective, the module integrates a complete RF front-end, including LNA and SAW filter, and supports both active and passive GNSS antennas. It can be paired with LOCOSYS’ high-performance GNSS antennas to deliver optimized signal reception. The module supports standard NMEA-0183 output as well as UAV-specific communication protocols, enabling seamless integration into flight control and navigation systems. It is available in two compact form factors—16 × 12.2 × 2.4 mm and 10.1 × 9.7 × 2.2 mm—featuring SMD packaging with stamp holes for easy PCB integration. The design also ensures low power consumption (≤25 mA @ 3.3V) and a wide operating voltage range (2.7–3.6V), offering high flexibility for system designers.

As a vertically integrated GNSS solution provider, LOCOSYS delivers comprehensive capabilities spanning product design, manufacturing, system-level mechatronic integration, antenna supply, and global technical support. The company operates under the IATF 16949 automotive quality management system, ensuring high reliability and consistency for industrial and mission-critical applications.

A key highlight of the LV-1612-U15 is its advanced anti-jamming and anti-spoofing capabilities, combined with intelligent signal analytics. The module can output real-time satellite signal quality indicators and interference monitoring data, enhanced by AI-like algorithms for signal analysis and anomaly detection. This enables systems to proactively identify abnormal signal sources and respond dynamically. Through intelligent signal feature recognition and adaptive mitigation strategies, the module maintains positioning continuity even in complex or hostile RF environments, significantly reducing the risk of positioning failure and enhancing operational resilience and mission success rates in critical applications.

Market response has been strong even prior to the official launch. Customers across Europe and the United States have shown significant interest, with multiple international companies actively requesting samples for testing and system validation across UAV, intelligent transportation, and industrial sectors. As evaluation programs progress and application deployments mature, LOCOSYS expects substantial order growth in the second half of the year, with strong potential to convert into high-volume production. “We have proactively prepared our production capacity and supply chain to support anticipated demand and will continue strengthening collaboration with global partners,” said Vice President Chen of LOCOSYS.

Looking ahead, LOCOSYS is actively expanding into low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite-related applications, leveraging its GNSS expertise alongside emerging satellite communication technologies. The company plans to introduce next-generation solutions that integrate high-precision positioning with satellite connectivity, addressing the evolving needs of global markets in intelligent navigation, remote communication, and autonomous systems, while further solidifying its leadership in advanced positioning technologies.
