The Traffic Message Channel(TMC) is a specific application of the FM Radio Data Syatem(RDS) used for broadcasting real-time traffic and weather information Locosys’s TMC module, TMC-1513 can receive and decode the TMC information efficiently and output the data with LOCOSYS Advance TMC Protocol which is NEMA-like ASCII message compatible. Combined TMC-1513 with any navigation system can alert the driver of a problem on the planned route and calculate an alternative route avoid the incident. This makes the dynamic route guidance reality.
